All clothing tells a story.
See a few of my sewing and textile projects pictured below.

Berry Suit
2024-2025

This complex project is a modified reconstruction of extant traveling suit worn by Marjorie Merriweather Post on her honeymoon (currently held by in Hillwood Museum). This project took more than 500 hours over the course of a year to pattern and hand-sew.
Wool Victorian Walking Skirt
2020

This skirt is patterned based off of an original 1895 Victorian walking skirt and hand-sewn using Victorian construction techniques. It has the deepest pockets that I can hide full water bottles in.

Victorian Lace Collar
2021

A lace collar I hand-crocheted in a pale green cotton thread using my great-grandmother’s sturdy old crochet hook. I think she’d be proud.

Victorian Cycling Suit
2023-2024

This vest and split skirt (also popularly referred to in the dress history community as “secret pants”) were handsewn from linen bedsheets and finished with shell buttons and vintage silk soutache.

Victorian Hairwork Jewelry
2024-Present (ongoing)

After saving up my own shed hair for months, I create jewelry inspired by Victorian hairwork. The hair is carefully sorted, waxed, and then tatted over a Kumihimo loom.

Crochet Victorian Bicycle Sweater
2022

I crochet without patterns and often re-do rows of stitches over 50 times by the time a project is complete.
