I’m a writer & artist.
My creative writing speaks to experiences with disability, trauma, gender, and the natural world. I hold a BA in English and an MFA in creative writing from Brigham Young University, where I served as Managing Editor for the Victorian Short Fiction Project and Poetry Editor for Inscape. My work has received the Ethel Lowry Handley Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets, the Vera Hinkley Mayhew Award, and appeared in Pleiades, Prairie Schooner, Poetry Wales, The Indianapolis Review, poets.org, Poetry Ireland Review, the Amazon bestseller Hidden in Childhood, and other venues. I also write online content for several blogs, including Disability University and Noble Desktop.
